The Great Sand Dunes Escape
We were able to run off for Memorial Day weekend. After attending church on that Sunday morning and eating lunch at one of our favorite places to eat in La Junta, we headed for Alamosa, Colorado. We (Our imediate family at home, which includes Mary and her boys: Zephaniah, Austin, and Ethan) checked in at a motel, enjoyed the pool and hot tub, played card games in the dining area of the motel, shared pizza in one of our two rooms, and slept in late the next day.
Have you ever been to the Great Dunes? It was awesome! We watched an informative video in the visitor center, played in the stream, climbed part way up the hills of sand, and generally enjoyed being together as a family - away from work.
Praise the Lord for the nice get-away.

We love the pictures!! It looks like you guys had a fun time - how did you get out of that big sand hill, Zeph? Glad you all got to spend time together having so much fun! We love you and miss you!!!
Hmm...love the "shorts," Dad!
Glad you all had so much fun. Tim and I just watched a video on Colorado and saw the Great Dunes. Maybe someday we'll get to see them first hand.
Love you all!
